Czech Republic Considering Creation Of Volunteer Legion Out Of Ukrainians

Following the example of Poland.

The Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic is studying the experience of Poland in creating a legion of volunteers out of Ukrainians.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Czech Defence Minister Jana Černochová on air of Interview ČT 24.

‘We want to continue training Ukrainian soldiers, so why not to include in this process, perhaps the Czech citizens who consider themselves to be of Ukrainian nationality, and create some kind of unit,’ Jana Černochová said.

She stressed that, as in Poland, enrolling soldiers in such a unit in the Czech Republic should be voluntary.
