Belarus Resumes Gasoline Supplies To Russia

Due to rising prices in the country.

Belarus resumed gasoline exports to Russia due to rising internal prices for AI-95 and AI-100 fuel, Kommersant reported on August 15, citing sources in the Russian oil industry.

The publication notes that from August 12 to 14, a total of 360-600 tons of AI-95 and 180 tons of AI-100 were sold per day from two bases — the border stations of Zlynka and Krasnoye in the Bryansk and Smolensk regions of the Russian Federation. It is claimed that these supplies accounted for up to 3.7% of the total volume of AI-95 sales on the exchange.

“The export of Belarusian gasoline to Russia is inconsistent. Fuel supplies were stopped for a month and have not been carried out since the beginning of July. In June, 32,700 of diesel fuel and 8,700 tons of gasoline arrived from Belarus to the Russian Federation by rail. In May, 9.900 tons of gasoline were shipped,” the publication writes.

In 2023, Belarus supplied 45,000 tons of gasoline and 270,000 tons of diesel fuel to Russia.
