Over 320 Kilogram Of Heroin Brought Into Belarus Disguised As Juice And Soda

The drugs arrived in the country from Iran.
Foreign citizens were detained in Belarus while attempting to transport more than 320 kg of heroin through the country.
The Investigative Committee has revealed details of a criminal case against four foreigners believed to be members of a criminal organization engaged in the illegal trafficking of large quantities of drugs.
According to the case, the defendants organized the supply of heroin from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the countries of the European Union and Great Britain through the territory of Belarus in the period from 2022 to 2023.
The criminal activity was identified thanks to operational and investigative measures by employees of the State Border Committee.
The investigation showed that the heroin was brought into the country under the guise of juices and carbonated drinks from Iran through Russia. The drug was hidden in boxes disguised as juice packaging, half a kilo in each. The dangerous cargo was placed in a warehouse in Minsk.
More than 320 kg of heroin were seized, and members of the criminal organization were detained.
The accused and witnesses are being interrogated, mobile and computer devices are being seized for further analysis as part of the investigation. Expert opinions from the State Forensic Examination Committee are also included in the case materials. Depending on the role of each, the members of the criminal organization are charged.
