And it's not the Kursk nuclear power plant.
The Seim River is becoming an increasingly visible dividing line of the front in Kursk region of the Russian Federation, suggesting the main intent of the Ukrainian military in this region.
Ukrainian air assault aviation has already attacked three bridges over the Seim River several times. The Ukrainian military destroyed all road crossings west of the village of Korenevo, which is located in the northwest of Kursk region.
However, the Ukrainian military's main target is likely to lie further north.
The small town of Rylsk, located 25 kilometres from Korenevo, is also on the Seim River and it is becoming an achievable target for the AFU.
The Swiss publication of Neue Zürcher Zeitun writes about it.
It serves as a centre of Russian military logistics, as Rylsk is an important railway hub.

According to the Moscow Times, the regional railway network is already on the verge of collapse because of the fighting and the transfer of additional units. Further Ukrainian attacks are likely to exacerbate the already difficult supply situation for Russian troops.
It remains to be seen how far the Ukrainians can and want to advance without stretching their positions. The intensity of the fighting has obviously increased.

So far, the Ukrainian forces are not yet in control of all Russian territory south of the river, but they are rapidly advancing deep into Kursk region.
