Russian oppositionist and thirteenth world chess champion Garry Kasparov has bought out a page of adverts in the German newspaper of Bild, placing on it a photo of a cemetery with Ukrainian military men and an appeal to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to provide Ukraine with the military aid it needs, Radio Svaboda reported.

‘Germany has already brought the world to the abyss. Chancellor Scholz, don't let it happen again. Give Ukraine the military aid it really needs,’ such an inscription is placed under the photo.

The advert was published against the backdrop of a discussion about a possible decision by the German government to cut military aid to Ukraine. German Finance Minister Christian Lindner has already sent a letter to Defence Minister Boris Pistorius asking him not to approve further orders to buy arms from industrial companies, the article Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung said.
