Belarusian Air Defense Forces Carry Out Combat Missile Launches In Russia

The exercises are taking place in the Astrakhan region.

The Belarusian military carried out combat missile launches at the Alushuk training ground in the Astrakhan region, the press service of the country's Defense Ministry reported on its Telegram channel.

"The combat crew of the S-300 complex carried out a combat launch at an unmanned aerial vehicle simulating a mock enemy," the ministry quotes Colonel Vital Lintsevich, commander of the 115th anti-aircraft missile regiment. He noted that the target was detected and destroyed "confidently" and "in a timely manner."

The ministry clarified that the missile was also launched from the Tor-M2 K air defense system. They emphasized that the Belarusian crew carried out a "combat launch from a moving combat vehicle" for the first time, since previously this had only happened "from a firing position."
