Forbes: Ukrainian Forces Encircle Russian Paratroopers In Kursk Region

A road important to Russians has been cut off.

The full-scale war in Ukraine continues, and soldiers of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces in the Kursk Oblast of the Russian Federation could have surrounded the Russian invaders.

Russian propagandists reported that Ukrainian paratroopers are trying to take control of the village of Malaya Loknya, which is located near the city of Sudzha, Forbes writes. According to one of the enemy propagandists, during the assault on Malaya Loknya, Ukrainian defenders bypassed Russian positions between this village and Russkoye Porechny, cut the road between them and, thanks to such actions, took "parts of the 18th Motorized Rifle Division" of the Russian Federation "into operational encirclement."

On the morning of August 20, the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops reported that Ukrainian soldiers stormed Malaya Loknya and used, in particular, the Marder infantry fighting vehicle.

"The Russians' well-equipped firing points and combat positions came under a powerful blow from the Polesie paratroopers. The enemy suffered significant losses in manpower, equipment and other material resources," the Airborne Assault Troops shared.
