A Belarusian general said the border had been ‘significantly strengthened’.
The Belarusian regime has deployed air defence troops and aviation along its border with Ukraine, a day after Lukashenka announced the pulling of nearly a third of his army to the area along the border.
Belarus' military radio-technical corps has been deployed on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border and anti-aircraft missiles have been pulled there, the Associated Press quoted Major General Andrei Lukjanovich, commander of air defence troops, as saying.
According to him, such a move is a ‘significant reinforcement.’
On August 18, Lukashenka said the move was a response to the Ukrainian troop buildup near the border. He did not specify the number of military personnel involved.
