A car and a truck collided.

As a result of an accident in Baranavichy district, hydrochloric acid spilled onto the road, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

The incident occurred on the evening of August 22 near the village of Petkavichy. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the accident involved a car and a truck transporting 8,080 kilograms of hydrochloric acid in containers of 24 kilograms each.

As a result of the collision, about 40 kilograms of acid leaked from two containers, some of which fell on the road surface, and some remained in the truck. Rescuers carried out work to neutralize the spilled substance.

The driver of the car received injuries of varying severity and was taken to the hospital.
