Prisoners Took Hostages In Prison #19 In Russian Volgograd Region

Some of them may already be dead.

In prison #19 in the Volgograd Region of the Russian Federation, several prisoners took the employees hostage. This happened during a meeting of the disciplinary commission. One of the colony's employees was killed.

"At a meeting of the disciplinary commission, where, among other things, the cases of malicious violators of the colony are considered, several prisoners took the employees hostage," the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia said in a statement, quoted by TASS.

The agency, citing a source in the operational services, reported that an employee was killed during the hostage-taking. There are other injured employees of the institution, the source added.

As Baza writes, four hostages have been taken in prison #19. Some of them may already be dead.

"According to preliminary data, four people have captured the prison. Law enforcement officers are being are gathering near the prison," the statement reads.
