New Countries Join Sanctions Against Belarusian Law-Enforcers And Propagandists

This is about the decision taken by the EU on July 26.

Several European countries have joined the EU sanctions against Belarusian security officials and propagandists.

Candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the European Economic Area states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, joined the EU sanctions adopted on July 26. At that time, 28 individuals were added to the sanctions lists.

“They will ensure that their national policies comply with this Council Decision. The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it,” the European Council said in a statement.
