Pavel Durov Enters Belarus After Exile From Russia

There are only two records about this.

A man with the name Pavel Durov and the date of birth of 10.10.1984 entered and left Belarus in July 2014. This was reported by the Cyberpartisans group. The data on entry and exit are contained in the AIS database of ‘Passenger Flow,’ hacked by Belarusian activists.

There are only two entries in the database - Durov entered the territory of Belarus on July 13, 2014 and left on July 15, 2014.

Nothing is known about this visit of the Russian IT entrepreneur. The Belarusian route could previously be used to enter Russia, as there are no border controls between the countries. It was only recently that the bases of border guards were synchronised. It is likely that Durov entered Russia through Belarus.

We remind you that in April 2014, Durov sold his stake in Vkontakte and left the Russian Federation with the words: ‘There is no way back. Especially after I publicly refused to cooperate with the authorities.’ After this date, only one visit to Russia is known - in autumn 2014 he came for a few days to sell his ICVA Ltd data centre.

Yesterday the publication of ‘Important Stories’ (https://istories.media/news/2024/08/27/pavel-durov-priezzhal-v-rossiyu-bolee-50-raz-s-momenta-izgnaniya-v-2014-m/) found out that Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, entered Russia more than 50 times between 2015 and 2021. The journalists analysed data from the FSB's largest leak, the Kordon database of the border service.
