‘Lukashenka Fears Repeating His Fate’

A political scientist has explained why the dictator started talking about The Hague.

Political scientist Alexander Fridman said in an interview with BGmedia why Lukashenka started talking about The Hague.

‘I think he has over-strong associations with Milosevic (Serbian dictator Slobodan Milosevic - ed.) with whom he had a close friendship and co-operation. Milosevic ended up in the Hague - Lukashenka fears to repeat his fate. However, he raises this topic at a time when it is not relevant. But this shows how deep inside his heart this fear is,’ Friedman believes.
