Belarusians Need To Stay Away From Russia

Belarusians Need To Stay Away From Russia

There is one more reason.

Director of the Central Economic and Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Ras) Albert Bakhtizin proposed to conduct a "special demographic operation" that echoes the crazy ideas of the odious philosopher Alexander Dugin.

The representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences told Interfax: "The decline in our population is catastrophic: we are losing 500-600 thousand people a year."

According to Bakhtizin, the forecasts of his institute show a further decline in the birth rate, at least until 2030.

By the way, for the first half of 2024, the natural population decline in the Russian Federation jumped by as much as 18%! The director argues that the population decline "poses a threat to national security" of Russia.

In this place, it would be worth mentioning that Russia has already lost hundreds of thousands of people during the "special military operation". Most of the dead are under the age of 40, that is, with a high degree of probability they could become fathers...

However, if someone believes that Bakhtizin proposed to stop hostilities against Ukraine for the sake of improving the demographic situation, then no. The Russian Academy of Sciences concluded that "the excessive concentration of the population in one place has a negative impact on the increase in the birth rate" and now believe that "the most effective measure for Russia is disurbanization."

That is, the meaning of the "special demographic operation" is to partially displace the population of the Russian Federation from cities to villages in order to get more children. At the same time, Bakhtizin himself admits that "in many places there is no infrastructure for future mothers. One woman wrote that in order to give birth, she needed to travel several hundred kilometers to a larger center, where there are obstetrics and gynecology centers where high-quality medical services can be provided."

In fact, "disurbanization" is an attempt to scientifically substantiate Dugin's ideas. The most famous modern Russian philosopher (which country, such philosophy) literally demands to "demolish large cities" and resettle most of the inhabitants in villages:

“Men and women live in the countryside. The cities are populated by metrosexuals. Return to the floor – return to the ground... Everyone in the village are on the ground. Russian means living on Russian soil. It should be like this. And if not, we will fix it.”

Judging by Bakhtizin's statements, "disurbanization" is becoming an increasingly popular idea among Russian elites. Now, of course, it is wrapped in a beautiful wrapper: creating incentives for moving in the form of benefits, building social infrastructure facilities in villages, etc., etc.

However, it is not difficult to predict further developments. All these promised blessings will be symbolic. But relocation can be quite real.

But how do you get people aspiring to the cities to turn deaf? Really easy. The current war has once again demonstrated the obedience of the Russian people. Residents of the Russian Federation themselves do not particularly take the initiative, but unquestioningly go to slaughter on the orders of the authorities. Although a lot has already been said about "meat assaults", when "cannon fodder" is simply consumed, even by Kremlin propagandists.

Against this background, a simple change of residence is a much lesser evil. And there is little reason to believe that Russians will resist relocation from cities to villages – “if Putin says.”

For Belarus, all of the above also matters, as Russia seeks to expand its "lifestyle". "Disurbanization", which looks fantastic today, tomorrow, alas, can become a real challenge for us. Madness is contagious – stay away from the source of infection
