‘Putin Has Never Experienced Such Humiliation’

Aliyev forces the Kremlin to punish those responsible for the downed plane.

The crash of the Azerbaijani plane, which was supposed to land in Grozny, but was probably shot down over Russian territory, has strained relations between Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin to the maximum. It will not be easy for the head of the Kremlin to get out of this situation.

The President of Azerbaijan demanded that the Kremlin apologize, compensate and punish those responsible for the probable downing of the plane near Grozny. Russian opposition journalist Igor Yakovenko told “Channel 24” that Putin is trying to avoid what Aliyev wants from him.

Aliyev wants blood

Yakovenko noted that the head of the Kremlin called the President of Azerbaijan three times because he does not want to publicly atone for this conflict.

“Aliyev wants blood — not of Ramzan Kadyrov personally, but of the people close to him,” he noted.

Because among those guilty of the tragedy, according to the journalist, it is obvious that this is the dispatcher — a former football player and Kadyrov's favorite, whom he got a good job. But this man knows nothing but how to kick a ball, so he did not warn the pilots that Operation Carpet was taking place and that the airport in Grozny was closed. Thus, he created a situation that led to the disaster.

Also, according to Yakovenko, the air defense crew was to blame, who confused the passenger airliner with a drone. By all parameters, these are incomparable objects, and the fact that they confused them indicates the professional incompetence of this air defense crew.

In addition, the nephew of the head of Chechnya, who is the chairman of the republic's security council, and whom Kadyrov “managed” to award precisely for the “operation to shoot down the plane”, distinguished himself.

“There are a certain number of obvious culprits, whose blood Aliyev will demand from Putin. And for him, such humiliation of Kadyrov is very undesirable. It is difficult to predict the actions of the head of the Kremlin, but he will probably be able to get out of this situation,” he emphasized.

Putin may try to flood this conflict with money. He may also, according to the oppositionist, say that allegedly “Ukrainian drones” created the situation that led to the shooting and the hit of the passenger plane. In addition, he may say that someone was punished, who will be appointed guilty. And the real culprits will probably avoid responsibility.

“Whether Aliyev will want to further humiliate the head of the Kremlin or will be satisfied with another imitation of him, is unknown. However, Putin has never experienced such humiliation,” Igor Yakovenko noted.
