Trump Would Consider It An Insult To Award The Nobel Prize To Someone Other Than Him

The President of the United States addressed a group of high-ranking generals and admirals.

US President Donald Trump believes he is the one who deserves the Nobel Peace Prize and it will be a "great insult" to the country if he does not receive the award.

It was reported by The Hill.

In a speech to a group of top generals and admirals, Trump said he has now helped stop seven international wars, and his 20-point peace plan to resolve the conflict between Israel and Hamas could be his eighth success story

"If it works, we'll have eight, eight in eight months. That's pretty good. Nobody's ever done that before," the president said.

But Trump expressed skepticism about receiving the prize.

"Would you get a Nobel Prize? Of course you won't. They're going to give it to some guy who hasn't done a damn thing. They'll give it to someone who wrote a book about Donald Trump's mind and what it took to start wars. The Nobel Prize will go to a writer. No, but we'll see what happens, but it would be a great insult to our country. I'll tell you. I don't want it. I want the country to get it. And it should get it, because this has never happened before," he said.
