Zelensky Confirmed His Meeting With Trump In Washington, D.C.

It will be held this Friday.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has confirmed his meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Zelensky said this during a joint press conference with European diplomatic chief Kaya Kallas.

"I will meet with President Trump in Washington this week. I think we need to discuss the sequence of steps that I want to propose to the president," Zelensky said.

He hopes to be able to travel to Washington this Friday, October 17.

"I have some other meetings that are also important to me. Some military companies that are important. I can't share the details on that," the president said.

He said he also has meetings scheduled with senators and congressmen.

"The main topic is air defense. And, by the way, I will also have a meeting with energy companies. It was necessary, it was a suggestion from Mr. President. I will have meetings with certain companies because there are certain needs that are needed now through different formats. The main topics are air defense and our long-range capabilities to put pressure on Russia," the president emphasized.
