Belarusian Comedian Wins Polish Comedy Show
Mikhas Ilyin

The Belarusian joked about emigrating to Poland and learning a new language.

Belarusian journalist and comedian Mihas Ilyin won the Polish comedy show Masz Minutę ("You have a minute"). About it he reported at his page in the social network X.

"There is such a Polish show Masz Minutę. Such an "X-factor" for comedians. They say that some Belarusian won there. I won't say anything else - I'll just add the link to the replay," wrote Ilyin.

In the course of the performance, which was posted on October 15, the Belarusian joked about emigration to Poland, learning a new language and how he is confused with Ukrainians.

- I've been living in Poland for four years, and all my environment is exclusively Belarusians and Ukrainians. During this time my Polish has become worse than before my arrival, because I hardly ever use it. All my Polish practice is to go to Bedronka (a local retail chain) and say: "Yes, I have a Bedronka card", and then only in those moments when I and the cashier pretend that we don't understand Russian. This is our Belarusian-Ukrainian game - who is the bigger Russophobe? Like, "Yes, I have a Bedronka card. I'm not from Russia. I'm Polish. My name is Michal Ilyin. Such a common Polish name and surname," the comedian joked in the show.

The Masz Minutę show is a comedy show with elements of stand-up and improvisation. The program features both well-known artists and newcomers.
