IDF strikes Gaza.
Israel launched airstrikes on Rafah in southern Gaza, accusing Hamas of a "flagrant violation of the truce," Radio Liberty reported.
The Israeli military said Hamas carried out "several attacks on Israeli troops behind the yellow line," an area to which it said Israeli troops had retreated under the first phase of a U.S.-brokered agreement.
The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement on Sunday that "terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and small arms fire at Israel Defense Forces troops conducting an operation to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in the Rafah area in the southern Gaza Strip."
"In response, the Israel Defense Forces launched strikes in the area to eliminate the threat and remove tunnel mines and military installations used for terrorist activities."
The Israel Defense Forces said the attack in the town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip was "a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement" and vowed to take decisive action.
