Kazakhstan Started Stopping All Trucks From China To Russia

They're being heavily searched.

Traffic jams on the border between Russia and Kazakhstan began to form in mid-September, and now thousands of trucks have piled up at border checkpoints. Customs officers are primarily interested in trucks with electronics, drones and components for them, as well as goods of Western origin.

Sources of "Kommersant" believe that Kazakhstan will turn around trucks with similar cargo. Cars with microchips and any machine tools are already deployed in 100% of cases.

Kazakhstan is an important channel for supplying sub-sanctioned goods to Russia. CNC machines suitable for weapons production, drones, raw materials for gunpowder production and other goods that can be used for military purposes have been imported through this country.

"We can definitely say that this is not a temporary disruption, but rather a new reality - tighter control and increasing compliance with the sanctions of Western countries," said deputy head of the logistics department of SLC Maksim Emelin.
