Political prisoner journalist Andrzej Poczobut underwent surgery to remove skin ulcers in the prison hospital.

Anjelika Boris, head of the Union of Poles of Belarus, who recently visited Poczobut in the colony, told about it.

"He suffers from hypertension and arrhythmia. Recently, he has often had high blood pressure. In September, he underwent surgery in the prison hospital - they cut out ulcers that had formed on his skin," she told newsweek.

Boris met with Poczobut on September 23.

Andrzej Poczobut was detained on March 25, 2021. In February 2023, he was sentenced to 8 years in prison, accused of inciting hatred and calling for actions against national security (Articles 130 and 361 of the Criminal Code).
