Lukashenko Has Lost Touch With Reality

The economy refuses to listen to the ruler.

The Belarusian economy has failed to justify the highest trust placed on it. The government has failed to fulfill specific instructions to make it good. And unconscious Belarusian citizens are frivolously drinking coffee drinks at gas stations. On Thursday, Lukashenko instructed to fix everything, writes planbmedia.io.

The worse for reality

The outrageous fact is that in eight months the Belarusian economy has failed to fulfill the instructions. It is true that a year ago the economy hinted that it could not fulfill the assignment. But who asked it then?

That is why Belarusian factories ignored reality for the first few months of this year. Despite the drop in demand in the Russian market, they worked in accordance with the set indicators. And they came to their senses only when they brought the stocks to a record level for the last 12 years.

"We are losing where, it would seem, we should earn - on our flagship products: tractors, combines, paints, tires, butter. As a result, the manufactured products are settling in warehouses, the level of stocks has not fallen below 80% for the fifth month," complained Lukashenko.

And immediately gave a specific order. First, to sell oil, tractors and combines. Secondly, to fix everything by the end of the year and make it good.

"There is still a whole quarter to the end of the year."

And if this year is good, next year should be even better. For next year, the government wanted to mandate that the economy grow by 2.6 percent. It is not certain that the government is aware of where that 2.6 percent will come from. Because the outlook for the Russian market is extremely unfavorable. And the Russian market already accounts for 67 percent of Belarusian exports.

But the plans of the Belarusian authorities have never bent to the reality of life. Therefore, Lukashenko hinted that the percentages planned by the government would not be enough for him personally.

"Someone will offer 3-3.5 percent - please. If someone is lower - let him explain how it will be perceived by our society and how Belarus will live," he said.

I suspect there will be no one willing to explain it among the Belarusian officials. Therefore, if the reality does not correspond to our forecasts, the worse for the reality.

I gave you coffee

The more so that officials are definitely able to fulfill at least one of Lukashenko's instructions. Because Lukashenko suddenly discovered that there are queues at Belarusian gas stations. And queues at gas stations in light of the gasoline crisis in neighboring Russia undermine, of course, the reputation of the entire oil refining industry.

But there's no need to worry. Because Lukashenko immediately found who is to blame. All the troubles come from those who like to drink coffee at the gas station.

"Are you crazy there? Did you ask for it? Yes, we did. I made a decision - every gas station should have related products and coffee. Today we can't drive up and refuel, because the cars are parked in the wrong place," he said.

That's why Lukashenko instructed the head of the Security Council to instruct the Minister of Internal Affairs to prevent such outrage at Belarusian gas stations.

Why? The government can't do anything about Belarusian exports anyway. But the Belarusian police can do anything with those who like to drink coffee at gas stations.
