Macron Reacted To The Louvre Robbery

Hooded robbers entered the building from the side of the Seine embankment.
French President Emmanuel Macron commented on the Louvre robbery that took place on the morning of October 19. The head of state called the incident "an attack on France's historical heritage" and promised that the perpetrators will be brought to justice, writes New Voice.
"The Louvre robbery is an attack on the historical heritage we cherish. We will find the jewels and the criminals will be brought to justice," Macron wrote on X.
On October 19, French Culture Minister Rachida Dati reported the Louvre robbery on social media X. The museum's website said it would be closed today "for exceptional reasons." The Louvre did not give further details.
Dati later said one of the stolen jewelry pieces had been found near the Louvre.
A BFMTV source said the crown of Empress Eugenie, which the intruder lost while fleeing, had been found. This historical object is "damaged" but not "broken".
According to Le Parisien newspaper, hooded burglars entered the building from the side of the Seine embankment, where renovation work is being carried out.
Two men broke windows and climbed inside, while a third stayed to guard outside. The thieves stole nine items from the jewelry collection.
