On the night of October 21, Russia detonated an explosion of railway tracks on one of the crossings between Pskov and St. Petersburg. This road is used for military logistics, "Channel 24" reported, citing sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
Sources in Ukrainian intelligence say the explosion also caused a partial fire in the rolling stock of a freight train. It is claimed that mobile internet in the area of the incident did not work.
"Sources in the GUR say that as a result of the explosion, logistics and traffic on the enemy's railroad tracks have been stopped, which will negatively affect the supply of the occupying army of Russia," the publication reports.
In the meantime, Russian Railways said that "for technical reasons, the schedule and route of a number of passenger trains in the Leningrad and Pskov regions are temporarily changed."
