In Mordovia, Drones Hit The Saransk Mechanical Plant

On the night of October 22, attack drones attacked the Saransk Mechanical Plant located in the Republic of Mordovia.

A fire broke out at the plant as a result of the strike, according to video released on the "Exilenova+" telegram channel.

"Saransk, the Saransk Mechanical Plant was attacked," the report said.

At the same time, Russian publication Astra specified that local residents could hear the sounds of sirens, and the region's authorities asked them not to go near the windows.

"ASTRA geolocalized the footage and concluded that at least one of the drones (recorded in this video) hit the territory of the Saransk Mechanical Plant, which is located in Saransk on Promyshlenny Proezd," Astra noted.

They also emphasized that this plant, among other things, produces explosives.

The network also made public the coordinates and satellite images of the place where the drones hit.

The governor of Mordovia Aretem Zdunov confirmed that the drones hit a target in the region.

"A massive attack by enemy drones on the territory of Mordovia was carried out tonight. As a result, one of our enterprises was damaged. Emergency services are working on the site, all necessary forces and means are involved," Zdunov wrote.

At the time of publication of the material, the Ukrainian side did not comment on the information about the UAV attack on the Saransk Mechanical Plant.

It should be noted that the distance from Saransk to the Ukrainian border is more than 600 kilometers.
