Trump Has Found Putin's Weak Spot

That's a card he's not gonna just throw away.

There is such a concept as "fog of war" - uncertainty and variability on the battlefield. But today we are dealing more with the "fog of diplomacy," where the actual volatility and uncertainty of Trump's and Putin's positions is generating a lot of speculation.

In the coming days, you will again read a lot of nonsense about what Trump or Putin allegedly said. Most of it will be absolute fiction thrown in by media outlets that once declared standards of journalism. Hype is the only standard of journalism today.

But the facts will be:

Trump is not an idiot. He found Putin's weak spot - Tomahawks. That's a card he won't just throw away.

Time is no longer playing Putin. He knows that. The battlefield is not giving him the result he wants. So he will chew it out with diplomacy.

We have to endure perhaps the toughest period of the war until spring. Diplomacy is beginning to come to the fore. And there are as many traps and problems for us here as on the battlefield.

The most important thing is to hold the next line: let Putin practically show a willingness for peace. Trump also wants a practical move to stop looking like an idiot. That line will break the Russians' cards.
