France To Transfer Missiles And New Mirage-2000 Aircraft To Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed a clear position on the need for continued military support for Ukraine and increased sanctions pressure against Russia, unian.net reports.

In an online address to the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing, which was streamed live on YouTube, Macron noted that the Coalition of the Willing was advocating for peace to achieve a "just, reliable and lasting peace" for Ukraine amid Russia's opposing stance, having launched an illegal war and still rejecting any negotiations.

"It is very important to continue our efforts - to support Ukraine and put pressure on Russia," he emphasized. The French leader also noted that in the coming weeks efforts will be made to provide additional financial support for Ukraine.

"In parallel, we also need to continue to increase military support for Ukraine - air defense capabilities, long-range capabilities, drones and anti-drone systems," Macron noted.

The French president, separately addressing Zelensky, confirmed that they will "deliver additional Aster missiles in the coming days." There will still be new training programs for the Ukrainian military and new Mirage planes will be sent."
