The two sides use various technical solutions, from light-engine aircraft with bomb loads to maritime drones and guided aerial bombs with a range of about 200 kilometers.

One example of such simple but effective methods was a strike on an explosives factory in Dzerzhinsk, carried out by a light-engine plane with automatic navigation and a primitive bomb. The 14th Regiment of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces reportedly conducts such operations.

At the same time, Russian forces have begun using jet-powered guided bombs with a range of about 200 kilometers, which far exceeds the capabilities of conventional planning bombs and complicates the Ukrainian air defense system.

The widespread introduction of artificial intelligence, robotics, and unmanned systems is also changing the situation on the battlefield. A particularly notable achievement of Ukraine has been naval drones, which have affected the balance of power at sea.

The use of light-engine aircraft with machine gun armament to intercept enemy drones shows: simple modernized means can give a tangible advantage.

The authors of the material emphasize that mass production of high-tech systems takes years, while quick improvisation often decides the result in the current moment. Because of this, modern warfare has become a continuous technical competition - from low-cost "Frankensteins" to complex missile and drone systems.
