A journalist of the Polish edition of Onet asked Warsaw residents whether they were ready to defend Poland in case of war. The correspondent happened upon a Belarusian who left the country after the 2020 protests.

"I would fight. I left Belarus for political reasons, I lost my first home. I don't want to lose the second. If something happened, I would be ready to fight for Poland," the Belarusian replied.

In comments, Poles admire the bravery of the Belarusian, note the closeness of the two nations and even suggest giving him Polish citizenship.
