What facilities were attacked.
On the night of October 29, Ukrainian drones attacked important facilities in three regions of Russia at once. First, the NS-Oil refinery in the village of Novospasskoye, Ulyanovsk region, was hit.
"Dialog" reports that later drone strikes hit the large chemical plant Stavrolen (Budyonnovsk, Stavropol region) and the Mari refinery (Tabashino, Yoshkar-Ola).
In all three cases, the Russian Armed Forces' air defense system was unable to cope with the attacking drones, which managed to reach their targets.
NS-Oil refinery is engaged in processing of hydrocarbons. The capacity of the plant is 600 thousand tons per year. In addition, the enterprise produces oil products, which it supplies to the domestic market.

The plant is included in the list of strategic enterprises of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
The Stavrolen plant is one of the largest chemical complexes and is part of the structure of Lukoil.
The enterprise's production capacities include pyrolysis, production of monomers and polymers. The plant operates on the principle of a full cycle: from the receipt of raw materials to the production of finished plastic products. The enterprise is among the top 5 largest producers of similar products in Europe.
It is interesting that next to the plant there is a thermal power plant, which provides energy to Stavrolen. This means that the company is embedded in the critical energy scheme of the region not only as a plastics producer, but also as an industrial hub with its own generation.
The Ukrainian drones also traveled over a thousand kilometers from the border to target the Mari oil refinery in the village of Tabashino.

The refinery is located in close proximity to the Surgut - Polotsk oil pipeline.
The company has two AVT units and is capable of refining more than 1.6 million tons of oil per year.
The product range includes stable gasoline, motor fuel, marine fuel, vacuum-gasoil, fuel oil and raw materials for bitumen production.
