New Charge D'Affaires Of Germany In Belarus Arrives In Minsk

Germany's new Charge d'Affaires in Belarus Catherine aus dem Ziepen has arrived in Minsk, the country's embassy reported.

October 1, the German embassy hosted a gala event in honor of the country's Unification Day.

"I was especially pleased that our new leader Katrin aus dem Ziepen and her husband arrived in Belarus just in time to take part in the reception," said the embassy.

Before her appointment in Minsk, Katrin aus dem Ziepen headed the political department of the German Embassy in France, and before that held various positions in the foreign policy and defense departments of the country. In 2006-2009, she worked in the political department of the German Embassy in Moscow, previously - in the country's diplomatic missions in Luxembourg and Shanghai.

The previous Charge d'Affaires of Germany in Belarus Andrea Viktorin left her post in July 2025. She held it for less than a year.
