Unknown Drones Circled Over A Bundeswehr Base For The First Time

Munich airport has halted operations.

On the evening of October 2, unknown drones were spotted in Germany not only in Munich, but also over the airbase in Erding, where the Bundeswehr's innovation center is located. This was reported by Bild.

According to the publication, at 19:30, unknown drones were recorded in Erding, where next-generation drones are being tested. Later, at 20:30, UAVs were seen already over Munich airport, which is only 8 kilometers from Erding.

According to witnesses, the wingspan of the drones ranged from 60 centimeters to one meter.

It is known that because of the fixation of unknown UAVs Munich airport suspended operations. 3,000 passengers are forced to sleep on cots. 17 flights were never able to leave, and 15 had to be diverted.

The publication also recalled that incidents with the flight of unknown drones over German military facilities were already last week. In particular, on Thursday, September 25, at about 21:00, two small drones were over the naval shipyard in Kiel, where submarines are built for the German Navy and NATO partners.
