Belarus Banned To Sell Lada Cars To Russians

These autos are cheaper in our country.

Lada cars in Belarus are sold much cheaper than in Russia, despite the fact that they are assembled at Russian factories and additionally have to spend money on delivery to the neighboring country. This is stated in a video on the channel "Lissa Rulit".

The video specifies that Russian citizens can't buy a car at Belarusian prices. Belarusian car dealerships refused to sell Lada to Russians, explaining that otherwise the cars would be quickly sold out and there would be nothing left on the domestic market.

At the same time, there are no restrictions for holders of residence permits in the country - the registration of the purchase follows the standard procedure. The difference in cost is explained by the adapted pricing policy of AvtoVAZ to the specifics of the local market, competition from the Belgee brand, as well as peculiarities of the tax system and customs rules.

All this allows dealers to reduce prices and offer more favorable credit terms.
