Belarus Has Restricted The Movement Of Lithuanian Trucks

They were only allowed to cross the border in one section.

The movement of trucks, tractors and trailers (semi-trailers) of Lithuanian registration is limited to the Belarusian-Lithuanian section of the border.

The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin on October 31, reports the press service of the so-called government.

"This measure is a forced response to the unilateral actions of the Lithuanian side, which has repeatedly and without prior notice closed checkpoints on the Belarusian-Lithuanian section of the state border," the press service said Some of them were forced to leave Belarus through Latvia or Poland, "but huge queues have formed at the checkpoints of these countries, and some trucks can't return even by these alternative routes."

The State Customs Committee of Belarus reported in the evening on October 31 that almost 5 thousand units of Lithuanian tractors and trailers were "blocked in our country.
