Syrian Leader To Visit White House For First Time Ever

He will meet with Trump in November.

The leader of Syria Ahmed al-Sharaa will arrive in November with an official visit to the White House. This will be the first such occasion in history.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a post by Axios journalist Barak Ravid on social network X.

He wrote that he was told about such a visit by the US ambassador to Syria Tom Barrack.

- Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa plans to visit Washington on November 10 and is expected to meet with the President (of the United States Donald Trump - ed.) at the White House," the post said.

He also noted that this would be the Syrian leader's first visit to the White House. Prior to this, Syrian heads of state have never made such a trip.
