The president separately noted the importance of implementing the PURL program to purchase American weapons, primarily air defense systems, for Ukraine's needs.

Zelensky also stressed that Russia still shows no intention to stop its aggression against Ukraine and continues to strike critical infrastructure and civilian facilities.

"Yesterday they attacked our western part of Ukraine. So many people died. Especially terrible tragedy - in Ternopil," - said the head of state. At the moment it is known that 27 people were killed as a result of this shelling, including three children. The search continues.

The President handed over to the US Secretary of the Army materials with information about foreign components contained in the Russian missile Kh-101, which Russia used to strike Ternopil. It was created this year, and the missile has components from such countries as the United States, Germany, China and Taiwan, the Netherlands, Japan, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, among others.

Zelensky noted that without components that are produced by companies from different countries, Russia would not have the ability to manufacture such missiles. Therefore, it is extremely important to increase sanctions pressure and block all possible ways for such components to get into Russia.
