Lukashenko's regime does not let Lithuanian trucks out of the country.
A representative of the Belarusian Embassy in Lithuania was handed a note of protest in connection with discriminatory actions against Lithuanian carriers. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania on November 21.
"The Belarusian side was informed that Lithuania considers the deliberate failure to release tractors, trailers and semi-trailers from the territory of Belarus, owned by Lithuanian companies and citizens, as a deliberate seizure of property and a gross violation of generally recognized norms of international law," reads the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
The Ministry urged Belarus to immediately stop these discriminatory actions. And warned that Lithuania reserves the right to file a lawsuit in court, demand compensation for the damage caused and take other retaliatory measures both at the national and EU levels.
