The Dutch Military Fired On Drones Over An Airbase

(Updated) The country's gendarmerie and police are investigating.

In the Netherlands on the evening of Friday, November 21, recorded unknown drones over the airbase Volkel. The Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans wrote about it on November 22 on the social network X.

He said the military used weapons to shoot down unknown drones.

"The drones have disappeared and (so far) have not been found. Further investigation is ongoing. Drones should not appear near military installations. We will take the necessary measures," Brekelmans wrote.

The Dutch Defense Ministry's page says the drones were discovered by security guards. Military police are now conducting further investigations.
