Reuters: Trump Is Preparing A New Phase Of Operations On Venezuela

The White House is willing to utilize all elements of American power.
The Donald Trump administration plans to launch a new phase of operations related to Venezuela in the coming days.
According to Reuters.
The agency was unable to ascertain the exact timing or scope of the new operations, or whether US President Donald Trump has made a final decision to act.
Records of impending action have increased in recent weeks as the U.S. military has deployed forces to the Caribbean amid deteriorating relations with Venezuela.
Two U.S. officials cited by Reuters said the covert operations would likely be the first part of new actions against Maduro.
A senior administration official on Saturday did not rule out any leads on Venezuela.
"President Trump is prepared to use every element of American power to stop the influx of drugs into our country and bring those responsible to justice," said the official, who wished to remain anonymous.
The military buildup in the Caribbean has been ongoing for months, and Trump has authorized covert CIA operations in Venezuela .
Airlines canceled flights from Venezuela
At the same time, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration on Friday warned airlines of a "potentially dangerous situation" when flying over Venezuela and urged them to be cautious.
Three international airlines canceled flights out of Venezuela on Saturday, November 22.
Reuters reports that the United States plans to designate the Cartel de los Soles as a foreign terrorist organization on Monday for its likely role in importing illegal drugs into the United States. The Trump administration has accused Maduro of leading the Cartel, he denies it.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that being recognized as a terrorist "opens up a whole new set of opportunities for the United States."
