Stoptime Musicians Released In Russia

They were arrested for a street concert.

The lead singer of St. Petersburg music band "Stoptime" Diana Loginova (Naoko) and guitarist Alexander Orlov have been released after spending more than a month in custody, the "Fontanka" edition reported, citing sources.

According to them, the police deliberately took the musicians from the special detention center and took them to another neighborhood so that "journalists who were waiting for the musicians to leave the temporary detention center would not ask the musicians questions."

A lawyer confirmed that the musicians were safe and asked not to be disturbed.

On October 15, three members of the band - Loginova, Orlov and drummer Vladislav Leontiev - were detained and sent to administrative arrest under the article on organizing an uncoordinated event for a street concert.

Since then, Loginova and Orlov have been arrested twice - on the day the musicians were to be released, they were again sent to a special detention center; Naoko was also fined under an article on "discrediting" the Russian army.

Leontiev was released two weeks ago. Loginova and Orlov were not released again and were sentenced to another 13 days of arrest.

The musicians were supposed to be released on Sunday night, but they did not leave the special detention center on Vasilyevsky Island - police cars were only leaving the territory, as "Paper" wrote.
