Earlier, Vilnius opened checkpoints on the border with Belarus.
Trucks of Lithuanian carriers still have not entered the country despite the opening of checkpoints on the border with Belarus.
This was stated by the representative of the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service (VSAT) Giedrius Misutis, writes LRT.
Misutis said that as of Monday morning, November 24, trucks with Lithuanian license plates are still not entering the country.
The VSAT representative noted that only those vehicles that entered after the opening of the checkpoints continue to cross the border.
"There are trucks and semi-trailers that left for Belarus after the opening of both checkpoints, unloaded and returned. The movement is carried out by [trucks] that are allowed [in Belarus] to move," he said.
According to him, most of the trucks authorized to move are Russian with simplified transit documents.
