A Large Landing Ship And An Oil Terminal Were Hit In Novorossiysk

Details of the attack on the main base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have become known.

Defense forces and the SBU attacked Novorossiysk in the Russian Federation. An oil terminal and a large landing ship were under attack.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing SBU sources.

"This night, fighters of the SBU's Alpha special operations center, together with the Security and Defense Forces, hit a number of military and logistics facilities at the Novorossiysk seaport in Russia's Krasnodar region with long-range drones," the sources said.

There was a hit on the infrastructure of the oil terminal (oil loading stands and manifolds) and on the positions of S-300/S-400 air defense systems. According to preliminary data, a large Project 1171 landing ship, which was at the berth of the naval base, was also damaged.

The SBU conducted the operation in conjunction with the Defense Ministry's GSD, the AFU SSO, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the State Border Service and the coastal missile and artillery forces of the Ukrainian Navy.

By the way, during the attack, Russian air defenses were actively targeting civilian infrastructure in Novorossiysk. The video shows repeated hits of Pantsir missiles on residential buildings.

The Novorossiysk port is Russia's second-largest oil export center and the main base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

"The SBU continues to methodically reduce Russia's petrodollar revenues, which it uses to finance the war against Ukraine, as well as to weaken the enemy's air defense systems protecting key military and infrastructure facilities of the enemy," an informed source in the SBU said."
