It's not just an IL-76, it's a long-range radar detection aircraft.
During the attack of the AFU on Taganrog, namely the Russian aircraft plant "Beriev TANTK" on the night of November 25, they managed to destroy not only an experimental aircraft of the Russian army A-60, but also an A-100LL.
An OSINT-project "Garbuz" reports this in Telegram.
The loss of another Russian Armed Forces plane is confirmed by satellite images.

The images clearly show the result of a combined attack by the AFU, in which Bars missiles and Neptune cruise missiles were used.
It should be noted that instead of the IL-76 indicated on the image, it is the A-100LL, as evidenced by the following satellite image taken before the attack.

The A-100LL is the testbed for Russia's long-built A-100 Premier, which was scheduled to replace the Soviet A-50 DRLV aircraft, but its program was teetering on the brink of closure.
According to Defense Express, attention should be paid to the radar antenna supports above the wing of this aircraft. This directly indicates that this is not just an IL-76, but a long-range radar detection aircraft. And to distinguish the A-100 from the A-50 and A-50U allows an additional antenna, which is placed above the cockpit of the aircraft and which is not in the A-50.
And the fact that we are talking about the A-100LL, that is, the flying laboratory, and not the prototype A-100 "Premier" says the very fact of its presence at Beriev TANTK, on the site of which it has been standing for many years. And we are talking about an aircraft based on the IL-76MD with the flight number "52" red and registration RF-93953.
The role of this A-100LL is also very important - it is actually a ground stand for testing all the systems of the A-100. It is on it that a whole range of work on testing and evaluation of equipment for the real airplane should be carried out. And this A-100LL is undoubtedly a very important asset of the entire Russian program of creating new airborne radar aircraft to replace the A-50, and, most likely, the modernization of the existing fleet.
