Syrsky: During The Week The AFU Cleared About 11.5 Km² In Pokrovsk

Ukrainian units are carrying out active actions to regain control over lost positions.
During the week in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, search and destruction of the occupants on the territory of about 11.5 square kilometers was carried out. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky following a working visit and a meeting with military personnel performing tasks in the Pokrovsk direction.
He noted that the issue of defense of Pokrovsk, Mirnohrad and adjacent territories is being considered comprehensively. Syrsky noted that the tasks of the AFU are unchanged - to defend positions, identify and destroy the maximum number of occupants and their equipment, block their logistics and effectively counteract in the air.
"We block attempts to storm the cities by small infantry groups. To this end, as well as to recover lost positions, our certain units are conducting active operations. During the last week, directly in the city of Pokrovsk, we searched and destroyed the enemy on the territory of about 11.5 km²," the commander-in-chief emphasized.
Syrsky confirmed that the Russians were forced to engage their operational reserve in the area of the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd agglomeration.
The Russians are trying to constantly change the direction of attacks here, using infiltration tactics, in particular, disguising themselves as civilians or covering themselves with them.
Glavcom noted that during the meeting they discussed the issues of strengthening Ukrainian units and coordinated use of reserves. Special attention was paid to ensuring the advancement of Ukrainian assault units.
