Putin Is Confused About The Geography Of Donbass

Russian dictator fantasized "fighting for Komsomolsk".

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin got confused by the names of settlements and made up that "battles for Komsomolsk" are "going on in Donetsk region."

As RBC-Ukraine reports, the Kremlin head said this while talking to journalists.

Putin once again claimed that Pokrovsk and Mirnograd are allegedly surrounded. This time he assured that "70% of Pokrovsk has been captured, and in the south of Mirnograd the AFU grouping has already been cut off."

"And then what? If you look at the map - further away is Komsomolsk. And to the north - Kupyansk, Slavyansk, Seversk. In Komsomolsk, there are hostilities inside the city, the advance is going further," the dictator added.

Most likely, Putin was referring to Konstantinovka, as there is no Komsomolsk in the Ukrainian-controlled part of Donetsk region.

A town with a similar name - Komsomolskoye - is located in the south of Donetschina near Mariupol, but it has been under occupation since 2014 and was renamed Kalmiusskoye in 2016 by a decision of the Verkhovna Rada.

The dictator did not stop his fantasies and claimed that 1,700 buildings out of 8,000 had "passed under Russian control" in Seversk. This claim also sounds rather dubious if we take into account that only about 10,800 people lived there in peacetime.
