Defense Express: Belarus Could Secretly Create A Cheap Cruise Missile For Russian Federation

Its characteristics have been published.

E-System Solutions unveiled a new strike system based on the Low Cost Cruise Missile (LCCM) Mk2 at the Dubai Airshow in the UAE.

This missile may be a special development of Belarus for the Russians, writes Defense Express.

As evidence, analysts point to the fact that the missile's manufacturer - E-System Solutions - is claimed to be a "Belarusian-Emirati company." However, one of the Russian propaganda resources positions this company as "recently founded by specialists from Belarus and the UAE" and which "has not demonstrated any notable successes so far."

"However, for example, earlier this year there was news that a Belarusian company with the same name showed a mock-up of the anti-aircraft missile system Buk-MB2K - and it is quite likely that we are talking about the same company," the material says.

Bearing in mind that E-System Solutions claims that their LCCM Mk2 missile was created taking into account the experience of the "Ukrainian theater of military operations," it is possible that it was developed with the involvement of Russian specialists.

"And the public demonstration can be explained by the desire to throw 'dust in the eyes' - they say it is a joint Belarusian-Emirati development and the Russian Federation has nothing to do with it," the analysts stressed.

The technical characteristics of the Belarusian missile

The range at which this missile can hit is 500-1000 km, with the warhead of 25-50 kg depending on the range.

"That is, it is an attempt to fit into the 'trend' for cheap cruise missiles, the development of which is now gaining popularity in the West, and among all in the United States, where they are looking for really cheap capabilities to hit targets at considerable distances," Defense Express noted.

The missile has a length of 3.15 meters, a wingspan of 2.5 meters, a speed of up to 600 km/h, and a maximum flight altitude of up to 11,500 meters. The type of guidance system used by the LCCM Mk2 missile is not disclosed, notes EDR Magazine.

The missile is designed for use both from ground platforms (catapults, launching on the chassis of lightly armored vehicles and container launching) and from ships.

Today it is known that the company has completed the development of the complex and cruise missile and should soon be tested.
