Five people were detained in Poland for activities in the interests of foreign intelligence: two Ukrainians and three citizens of Belarus, reported the prosecutor's office of the country.
The detentions were carried out on November 25 and 26 by officers of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the police.
It is noted that from March 2024 to February 2025 the detainees were engaged in the territory of Poland "to establish contact with representatives of foreign intelligence via messenger Telegram" and to perform the assigned tasks, including the production and transfer of photographic documentation of objects Another Belarusian was banned from leaving Poland "due to poor health".
November 15 and 17, there were two incidents on the railroad in Poland. First, it became known about malfunctions in the railway infrastructure near the locality of Zychin (Mazowieckie Voivodeship) in the Lublin direction. The tracks were damaged by an explosion, and another explosive device was found nearby, which did not detonate, Polish media reported.
The second incident occurred near Pulawy (Lublin voivodeship), where a railway contact network was damaged.
On November 18, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the sabotage on the Polish railroad was committed by Ukrainian citizens, who then left the country through the Terespol border crossing point, going to Belarus.
