Through March 9.

Poland has extended restrictions on flights along the border with Belarus and Ukraine. They will be in force until March 9, reported the Polish Air Navigation Service Agency.

The extension of restrictions occurred at the request of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces.

"The restrictions do not apply to passenger aviation, as the level of restriction - FL095, that is, the zone from the ground to an altitude of about 3 km. The depth of the zone is from 26 to 50 km depending on the area," the agency explained.

The rules allow GA aircraft (mainly small and recreational aircraft) to fly during the day, provided a flight plan is filed and a radio and transponder are available. Such flights are prohibited at night. Military aviation flights are also authorized. Civilian UAV operations are allowed during the day, provided that they do not violate the ADIZ Belarus and ADIZ Ukraine (Air Defense Identification Zones). Night flights are still prohibited.

"In general, restrictions on airspace in eastern Poland are a regular practice, introduced at the request of the military side since the beginning of the war in Ukraine," the agency added.

Reminder, Poland introduced restrictions on flights along the border with Belarus and Ukraine on September 10. It was initially planned that they would remain in force until December 9.
