Belarusians told what was happening on the border with Poland.
On 17 November, the border crossings "Berastovitsa - Bobrowniki" and "Bruzgi - Kuznitsa" were opened on the border between Belarus and Poland. After that "Brest-Terespol" ceased to be the only one working on this border. Since then, the bus queue has also disappeared. Belarusians write in border chats that passing the border through "Brest" still takes a lot of time. And they blame different parties for this. BGmedia tells the details.
According to the reports of Belarusians in border chats, the most difficult situation was on November 27. It took about 12 hours to pass the border, while there was no queue in front of the checkpoint "Brest":
"11 hours and 30 minutes of the border from the barrier to the exit behind the barrier. This, gentlemen, is not Christian. Level with torture. 0 kokobayev."
"At 07.40 departure from Brest bus station. At 18.00 departure from the Poles in Terespol".
At 00.30 the barrier of the PP RB. At 00.35 we entered the BCP RB. At 08.10 we entered the BCP. At 13.05 we left the BCP RP. At 16.20 we arrived at the bus station Warsaw Zachodnia".
"At 15.50 we arrived at the border, almost immediately drove behind the barrier, but we waited about an hour for the beginning of passport control of the Republic of Belarus. At 17.50 all passed the control, neutral (a lot of buses piled up on the neutral, 15 in front of us). At 00.15 we came to Poles, the border was empty, no buses inside. At 00.30 we started passport control, 3 windows were opened. At 01.15 we leave, we will be in Warsaw in three hours approximately. Total: 9 hours and 30 minutes the whole border".
The situation with the passage of the border began to improve from the night of November 28. Now it took 8 hours on average to pass all controls:
"At 23.40 we were at the border. At 04.00 we passed through the Republic of Belarus. At 06.00 we went to the Poles. At 08.30 we left the border. Total: the whole border in 9.5 hours.
"At 01.35 we arrived at the barrier, got in line 4. At 03.20 we drove behind the RB barrier. At 05.30 we entered the passport RB. At 08.00 we drove behind the barrier RP. At 10.30 we left the border of the Republic of Poland. Total: the whole border in 9 hours. All inspections were carried out quickly, both in RB and RP, long waiting in between.
"At 04.20 we arrived at the barrier, got in line as the 2nd or 3rd. At 07.00 we entered the passport RB. At 11.15 we entered the passport RP. At 12.20 we left the border of the Republic of Belarus. Total the whole border: ~ 8 hours. All inspections were carried out quite quickly, in RP X-ray is broken, they look selectively manually, long waiting time in between".
"At 09.20 we came to the barrier, there were like 2 buses in front of us. At 09.40 we drove behind the barrier, there were 4 buses in front of us. At 10.35 we passed the Belarusians, we are standing in the duty-free zone, 8 buses and 2 minibuses in front of us are waiting for the exit to the bridge. At 14.00 we entered the bridge. At 14.27 we passed Poles, 6 buses in front of us. At 16.40 we passed the PP RP, we are waiting for the bus from X-ray. At 16.50 we left for Warsaw."
Belarusians discuss in chat rooms the passage of the border through the border crossing "Brest - Terespol" and argue who is to blame: Belarusian or Polish border guards. Opinions of those who blame the Poles:
"Well, there are no words... There are 100 buses, but only 10 of them - you have to wait for days, what's going on - it's unclear! One thing is clear: the pans do not want to move, the pre-holiday traffic will start soon. It's scary to imagine what will happen".
"It will be like always: big queues and expensive tickets, every driver will queue all his buses, and there are a lot of such drivers".
"Ours don't hold. Until ours are given permission from the Polish BCP (they call and say how many can be allowed on the bridge), ours have no right to open the barrier. Poles give the command and say how many, and ours let them out. Think about it: what is our interest to make a quick exit and then hold in front of the barrier? No command from Pan - no movement. It has always been and will always be!"
The opinions of those who blame the Belarusians:
"I will surprise you, when buses arrive at the Polish border, it's not me who said that, people write, Polish customs officers wonder why the Belarusian side does not let the buses in, why the buses do not go. This situation is not the first time. Who do you think opens the barrier on the white side at the duty free? Assuming the bridge is empty. Do you really think Poles do it?"
"Last Saturday there was no barrier at the Duty Free, and the bus was standing on the bridge for an hour. Drove into the Polish yard and there were 0 buses there. And who does that, I wonder?"
"Seems like ours are held up on purpose just for fun. I was driving on 11/13/11 and observed the same pattern. In our yard 8 buses were not allowed on the bridge, and in the Polish yard at the same time 2 buses on the check and a busicle".
And someone thinks that no one is to blame. The Polish border always takes longer to enter, not to leave. The same with the border of Belarus:
"In every country and at every border one is interested in what you bring into the country, not what you take out, it is always so. And how do Poles do the inspection when leaving the RP? The same way as Belarusians do when leaving the Republic of Belarus, isn't it? People stand for a very long time at the border both on one and on the other.
Belarus and Poland can be crossed by bus through the border crossing "Berastovitsa - Bobrovniki," which opened on November 17. However, it's not suitable for Brest residents, because it's located in Hrodna voblast. But for Minsk citizens, for example, it is quite suitable.
Belarusians in the border chats write that it takes less time to pass the border through this border crossing than through "Brest - Terespol":
"Grodno - Bialystok - Warsaw. Departure from Grodno at 01.00 on 27.11. Arrival in the waiting area at 02.10. Departure from the border at 11.50. Arrival in Bialystok at 13.00. Arrival in Warsaw at 16.00".
"Grodno - Bialystok. Departure from Grodno at 07.30 on 27.11. Arrival at the waiting area at 08.40. Departure from the border at 15.20. Arrival in Bialystok at 16.10."
"Departure from Minsk on 27.11 at 17.00. At 20.45 we approached the border of the Republic of Belarus. At 21.10 we passed the border of Belarus. At 22.42 drove behind the barrier of the Republic of Belarus. At 01.45 we left the border of the Republic of Belarus.
"Grodno - Bialystok - Warsaw. Departure from Grodno at 01.00 on 28.11. Arrival in the waiting area at 02.10. Departure from the border at 09.00. Arrival in Bialystok at 10.00. Arrival in Warsaw at 13.00."
"Bus Mogilev - Szczecin. At 03.47 we arrived at the border. At 05.03 we passed the Belarusians. At 06.38 we entered the Poles. At 08.23 we came to the control. At 09.52 we left the border. Total: the border in 6 hours and 5 minutes".
