The Ukrainian president is confident that the Hungarian prime minister will not succeed in preventing Ukraine from acquiring EU membership.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said against the background of today's meeting between US President Donald Trump and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban that Ukraine will not allow the Russians to sell oil to Europe.

"But he should immediately understand our attitude to this as well. We can't give the "Russians" the opportunity to make money on this - on energy. And even where our hands are being twisted because of certain contracts, obligations, etc. - we will still find a way out so that there will be no Russian oil in Europe," Zelensky emphasized.
The Ukrainian head of state said that it is very good that the US is interested in this.
"But we, as a country that is under Russian aggression - we are definitely interested in this. And Orban, who is constantly broaching issues with various players, important to influence us - in my opinion, should not build his election campaign on hatred of Ukraine, but on friendship. And on the fact that look: I have a problem, let's help how to solve it on energy. He thinks not about people, about solving this problem, but about himself. And it seems to him that on the heath to Ukraine he will do it. He won't. Why not? - Because we won't. We will not let the 'Russians' sell oil there," Zelensky states.
The president added that it is a matter of time and positions.
"Some things we simply cannot do today. Because there are many different dependencies in this puzzle. But we will still put the picture in this puzzle together. And he clearly understands that. And no one can influence us. Just no one," Zelensky said.
